Dr. Maverick Marrin received a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Eastern Connecticut State University. Wanting to further know how to heal the body, he pursued a career in Chiropractic and Acupuncture. He received his Masters of Science n Acupuncture and Doctor of Chiropractic from University of Bridgeport in 2023. Here, he learned a multitude of techniques such as chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, clinical nutrition, gua-sha, cupping and a variety of soft tissue manual therapies. More importantly, through Dr. Marrin’s education, he learned that connecting with the patient is of utmost concern. He believes that since all of the body’s systems are intertwined, a patient should be treated as a whole, not just the sum of their parts.
Since high school Dr. Marrin realized his love for exercising and how much one can benefit physically and mentally. Prior to graduate school at University of Bridgeport, he worked as a Strength and Conditioning intern at Yale University and University of New Haven. In addition, Dr. Marrin worked as a personal trainer and was a volunteer high school strength coach. This helped Dr. Marrin develop a foundation of how to program and implement exercise routines for all ages. Dr. Marrin continues his studies under his mentor, Dr. Sean Diamond, to help patients on their journey towards health and wellness.
In Dr. Marrin’s free time, he enjoys exercising at the gym, going on nature walks with his three dogs (Maggie, Darling, and Moose). Also, he likes reading/watching items related to his background in healthcare.
